About Me
Professional Experience
​
My name is Emily Justice and I am a current Kindergarten teacher at Neff Kindergarten Center in Grand Ledge, Michigan. I am part of a special two-year kindergarten program in an all-kindergarten (17 classes!) building within the Grand Ledge Public School district. My students are primarily on the younger end of the kindergarten spectrum and benefit from two years of kindergarten, as the program is better suited to their development level and pacing. I will be starting my third year at Neff this fall. Prior to teaching kindergarten, I was a preschool teacher at the Holbrook Early Childhood Center in the Grand Ledge district for two years. I am fully enjoying my new position in the kindergarten world and am amazed daily by the things that my students can do!
Education and Degrees

I graduated from Michigan State University with my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach kindergarten through fifth grade for all subjects. I am also certified to teach grades six through eight in Language Arts. After receiving my certificate, I returned to Michigan State to receive my Master of Arts in Education (MAED). I am currently taking classes towards my degree in the MAED program, with a focus in language arts instruction.
Personal Interests

In my free time, I enjoy being with my friends, family and husband. I married my high school sweetheart in June of 2017. We currently live in our hometown of Grand Ledge with our cat, Remy. When I am not teaching, I enjoy crafting for our house or my classroom, hiking, playing in our sand volleyball league, or traveling wherever I can get to. My favorite destinations that I have traveled to so far include the Greek Islands and the Cinque Terre in Italy. I find it fascinating to explore new cultures and to learn about how others live.
